Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Transport / Transportation / Shipping | | Spanish term or phrase: Declaración Única Administrativa (DUA) | Does anyone know if there is an English equivalent of this customs document? This goes with another document (Declaración Aduanera de Exportación (DAE)), which of course I will post in a separate posting.
The document is all about a customs clearing process for a logistics company. |

Declarations and the Single Administrative Document
Introduction
The Single Administrative Document (SAD) - also known as form C88 in the UK - is the main customs declaration used in international trade. Traders and agents use the SAD to declare imports, exports and transit and community status declarations. It's also used to enter goods to, and remove them from, customs procedures. For trade within the European Union (EU) single market, the SAD is not necessary, but it covers trade with third countries and the movement of Common Agricultural Policy goods and non-EU goods in the EU.
The SAD is harmonised in line with other European versions of the form. From July 2009 there'll be a new requirement for traders to submit a pre-arrival or departure summary declaration for third country traffic for security purposes. For exports, the pre-departure summary declaration must be submitted with the export declaration. This guide explains how the SAD works - how to complete it, and whether you need the help of an agent.
