This document distinguishes between a "camión remolque" and a "tractocamión", which I believe to be the distinction between a tractor truck unit *with its own cargo capacity* with an additional trailer ("camión remolque") and what we consider a more conventional "semi-trailer" arrangement in the United States, with a tractor unit with no cargo capacity of its own hauling one or more trailers. The biggest problem I'm having is that the first type of unit is not used, as far as I know, in the United States.
