Spanish to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Transport / Transportation / Shipping / Design, Architecture of Rail System
Spanish term or phrase:Inferir
Esto es el texto "Módulo de procesamiento disponible para que el usuario pueda inferir en él la aplicación de la FPGA"
No entiendo que se quiere decir con el uso de "Inferir." Alguién me puede ayudar por favor?
The text would make some sense if it read "... para que el usuario pueda inCLUir en él la aplicación ...".
That's far-fetched as a typo, but might happen if the text was OCRed, or if someone mis-understood words from a hand-written note or a recorded dictation.
Maybe. I can't make any sense of "inferir en él", but if it is a typo, I don't know what it could be. I wondered about "inserir" or "injerir", in the sense of "insert" or "enter", but I'm not convinced. I'm afraid I don't have the technical knowledge to solve this.
The text is talking about different modules and systems, that is all the context I can give as there is no more context available at this point in the text.
FPGA is an acronym related to rail Systems but I do not know exactly what it refers to as it was pre translated before I received the text Phil, sorry.
It is related to monitoring different Rail systems, that is all I can tell you at the moment.

I'm sorry Eileen, I understood you need an explanation of the verb "inferir" in Spanish. I understand it's an entry in the system by users, you can use "enter".
Explanation: I could be completely wrong but I'm not sure that this is technical at all. I read it as the user being able to learn from the "módulo procesamiento" HOW the FPGA system is applied (as in the diagrams from the ref posted by Charles concerning the different systems/sensors for gate closures etc).
So, in that sense to construe, deduce, come to conclusion or LEARN

how the system actually works so in that sense the technical aspects
