Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Science - Zoology | | Spanish term or phrase: pareja de reclamo | From a document detailing environmental compensatory measures to be implemented as the result of the effects generated by the construction of a power generation plant.
They're talking about reinforcing the population of a particular species of bird by building structures into which hatchlings bred in captivity will be placed.
Colocación de *parejas de reclamo*:
En el interior del primillar se instala una jaula con parejas de Cernícalo primilla troqueladas que actuarán de reclamo.
I've found plenty of references to mating pairs claiming nests, but I don't find a technical term for "pareja de reclamo".
I've come up with "nest-claiming pair", but I'm wondering if there isn't an "official" term.
