Zoology / Pesca
Spanish term or phrase: medición al medio cm inferior
From a document (Spain) on fishing. This part is about the samples that were taken to study the fish that were caught.
I'm not sure about the last part:

Se recogieron muestras de cada una de la pescas para proceder a la separación de especies y proceder a su medición al medio cm inferior.

Thanks in advance!!

Hi Sherry,

I think this is what it means - not sure if it's the best way to say it in English, but I hope it's clear enough for you to get the idea.

Good luck,

Álvaro :O)

rounded down to the closest average centimetre

Explanation:
I think medio here refers to the average of the sample taken.

But it seems a bit ambiguous to me.

neutral  Dr Neil Ashby: But the average (media) is feminine and here it is masculine in agreement with "centimetro", no? My grammar is not the best....

-> it is an adjective. el cm medio = average cm. That's how I read it.
