En .........., cuando una cantidad pequeña de material se rompe (menor de 10 Palets), se queda obsoleto ó está inservible de cualquier manera, se realiza un achatarramiento imputado a un centro de coste. Tomar decisiones de achatarrar va a suponer depreciar esas toneladas de vidrio a precio de chatarra y luego hacer una venta de esa chatarra a la planta que lo va a aprovechar (si está en un almacén de planta).
Cuando esta cantidad no es tan pequeña, se realiza un movimiento de material a material (casco de vidrio). Este movimiento puede influir en la valoración de materiales.
