Spanish term or phrase: sagita
Bonjour,

Pourriez-vous me dire comment traduire "sagita" dans la phrase "Si el contorno lateral del vagón situado en la parte interior de la curva se asemejara a una cuerda de una circunferencia de radio R (la correspondiente a la curva del carril interior) la distancia indicada como “a” en la figura sería la distancia de la cuerda al arco de circunferencia, llamada sagita".

Merci d'avance.

English translation:height of the rise

Explanation:
As far as I know the "flecha" is the 'rise' of an arch. In architecture "sagitta" is sometimes used to refer to the keystone of an arch. (This is confirmed in my copy of the Oxford Dictionary of Architecture).

More context would help, but I think the word you are looking for is "rise".
