C'est tout simplement le gentianose, comme son nom l'indique dérivé (il y a très longtemps dans les grimoires des alchimistes :-)) de la gentiane (une plante dont on tire des liqueurs, y compris au sens médicinal du Moyen-Âge - notamment excellentes pour la circulation sanguine). C'est en fait un triholoside, comme le raffinose.
