Spanish term or phrase: confitar
Necesito saber cómo se dice en alemán "confitar".

He encontrado "kandieren" y "überzückern", pero las definiciones que tengo para estas palabras en alemán hacen referencia al azúcar.

El confitado al que se refiere mi texto no es el que utiliza azúcar, sino grasa, como ocurre en el confit de pato, por ejemplo. Consiste en cocer el alimento en cuestión en su propia grasa o en aceite a baja temperatura (para que no se fría).

¿Se utiliza en alemán también estos verbos para esta otra forma de confitar (y las fuentes monolingües que he consultado no son completas), o es otro verbo en este caso?
