Μ 40-45 εκ. Αναπαράγεται στους τροπικούς μέχρι Ερυθρά Θάλασσα. Παρατηρήθηκε βόρεια μέχρι Πορτογαλία και Ισραήλ. Μάλλον μεγαλόσωμος, ανοιχρόχρωμος, λευκός με μαύρα εξωτερικά πρωτεύοντα, μαύρες κηλίδες από πάνω στον εσωτερικό "βραχίονα", μαύρη οφθαλμική γραμμή, γκριζόμαυρες σκωληκοειδείς γραμμές σε μανδύα / πλάτη και μικρά άνω καλυπτήρια..."
