Ho trovato questa definizione:
"Friso de ladrillos colocados de manera que muestran al exterior el vértice de sus esquinas."

Aquí hay una descripción del friso de esquinillas, que menciona precisamente su semejanza con los dientes de sierra:
"FRISO DE ESQUINILLAS
Descripcion :
Motivo ornamental constituido a base de ladrillos o sillares dispuestos horizontalmente de forma que ofrecen una de sus aristas para crear el aspecto de un diente de sierra. Se trata de un elemento decorativo propio de los alarifes mudéjares."
