Questa è la spiegazione della RAE:
Cada uno de los que componían el cuerpo de los 100 continuos, que antiguamente servía en la casa del rey para la guardia de su persona y custodia del palacio.

è molto chiara, ma non riesco a trovare un corrispettivo in italiano (se esiste).

Explanation:
Non c'è traduzione. Anche il dizionario Carbonell riporta semplicemente "Guardia del re - "Los cien continuos": Guardia del re (composta da 100 guardie)".

Quindi credo che il termine vada riportato tra virgolette, seguito da una spiegazione, con o senza parentesi.
