non riesco a tradurre questa frase. il contesto ha a che fare con una discussione su dei personaggi storici appartenenti a svariati ambiti del sapere e dell'arte. a un certo punto l'autore, commentando i pareri di alcuni compagni, dice:
_ante una seleccionada lista de personajes historicos que les presenté. De donde deduje que lo que en realidad reivindicaban era una limpia hornacina para los autores de su "cuerda"...
