Регистр - от лат. registrum - список, перечень
А. Список, указатель, книга записей, учетный документ, имеющий правовое значение.
Б. Орган, осуществляющий функции надзора.
А вот реестр имеет, скорей всего, второе, более обобщенное значение термина "регистр", то есть указывает на какой-либо орган или организацию.
В данном случае Registro - это регистр.
