Asker: В принципе, Ваш вариант ни чем не хуже, чем предложенный Вашей коллегой. Но тут и далее речь идет именно о новостях, а именно о том, как часто респонденты смотрят информационные ТВ программы, читают первые полосы газет и т.д., чтобы быть в курсе событий. Одним словом, хотя "новости" в данном случае и сужают значение, но в данном контексте это было бы совершенно оправдано. Спасибо!
