In general I would opt not to insert contractual/occupational (or I may insert it once at the beginning of a long article that discusses aspects of it and uses the term repeatedly) because I think it's both a bit cumbersome and redundant. If it's a defined-benefit pension plan, then it's by definition a contractual/occupational pension plan and it is implied that the term relates to an employer-employee arrangement. Stylistically, the problem is that in English you end up with a concept made up of 5 or 6 words (depending on how you treat the hyphenated defined-benefit), whereas the Swedish is a 3-word concept. But if you want to add it, contractual and occupational could be used interchangeably, since avtalspension = tjänstepension. |
