Före varje trafikprograms ikraftträdande skall en komitté (s k slingkommitté) uppgöra slingor.
This is an extract from a collective agreement for pilots and cabin crew.

Diarmuid Kennan: 9:45am Aug 7, 2008: sling - The client has informed me that 'sling' is the correct word in English.
Then I would use 'slings' and we have all learnt something.
In the wordl of aerospace, the English terms are often imported wholesale: slings = slingor.
