...och inrymde tvenne lador samt sädesgolv. So there were a couple of barns and a "grain floor". I am no farmer but I don't think there is such a thing.

This is kind of what I thought it was. Nothing else seemed to make much sense. I was looking for some kind of confirmation.

agree  Christine Andersen: I can't see what's wrong with this answer - I didn't see it until after I'd made my guess - after it had been refused first time round.

sädesgolv
threshing floor??

Explanation:
I'm no farmer either, but it's a thought.

Skribent gives loggolv or loge for threshing floor...

But if the writer is not using the obvious terms, I suppose guessing is legitimate.

Where in the world (and in time) is this building? It reminds me of some archaeological texts I once worked with, but lots of factors might make a difference.

The culture: what kind of family or community used it, and how many different crops are stored?
Climate ( tropical/northern ... )?

disagree  Martin Samuelsson: grain floor sounds better to me. Found a couple of instances of sädesgolv on the net and none of them seem to indicate that the floor is used for threshing?
