I assume you mean töntigt.

Depending on the intensity in what you'd like to say the word can translate in many ways. Something can be stupid, dump, A person can be a jerk or a dope. My daughter could well label something retarded. Take your pick. :)

The word is spelled "töntigt" and it is a derogatory adjective or adverb.

geeky is used in subtitle texts for 'töntig'.
'Töntig' is someone who does not know how to behave because s/he has a misconception of the world around him/her in a particular situation and thus often makes an an awkward, ridiculous impression

my objections to the preveiuous suggestions are:
awkward = tafatt valhänt (the best one)
clumsy= " , klumpig
dope is a NOUN = dummer, fåntratt
jerk is a NOUN = skitstövel, odåga, tölp
corny = knasig, crazy, tokig
sloppy = slarvig, slaskig, pjollrig
square = insnöad, mossig
