Excavatability classes?
I see that "excavatability" is a word, but can that really be meant here?

Categories of excavatability / rippability
Explanation:
This seems to be a term used in geotechnical engineering. It seems pricing is measured against how "standard" the equipment is that is needed to remove various types of sediments and rocks. Hope that helps. (The word is almost a bit unbelievable).

Perhaps pricing is secondary in my above explanation - the categories simply imply a measure of the material to be excavated. Maybe they are making sure they don't have to pay extra for difficult to extract categories. I'm not sure about the why, but the terms seem to be used often in this context.

excavation classes

Explanation:
Schaktbarhetsklasse doesn't get even a single hit on Google, and even though excavatability does seem to be the correct translation for the word, it doesn't really fit het. My guess is that excavation class is what is really meant, but it's hard to know..

Notes to answerer
Asker: "schaktbarhetsklasse" gets nothing, but "schaktbarhetsklass" does. Have you been working with German recently :)?
