Swedish to English translations [PRO]

I assume this has something to do with a lock or gate of some kind, but as this phase of the process is completely out of contest with the rest of the manuscript, I'm lost for an appropriate translation. |

following my posting I spoke to one of the technicians involved in the project and he suggested feed sluice to be the most appropriate translation. He also mentioned the term input sluice that I had also hitherto been unfamiliar with.
