Swedish term or phrase: Cheddar korv
lamm och Cheddar korv med potatis gratäng

Context: a canteen menu with more or less normal dishes, e.g. Pytt i panna, Biff Lindström, or Lax med purjolöksås och färskpotatis on different days of the week.
And on Thursday, I think, lamm och Cheddar korv med potatis gratäng.

Could it be a misprint for lamm och korv med potatis och Cheddar gratäng?

If anyone can explain what it is, I'll be very grateful!

English translation:cheddar sausage
Explanation:

Thanks a lot!

I'd hate to spoil Cheddar and the sausage by mixing them. (I too miss real Cheddar; my father's from Somerset...) But there's no accounting for tastes, and some things do taste far better than they sound!

neutral  George Hopkins: Isn't Cheddar sausage something originally from Cheddar, England? It's rather confusing. Google Images gives lots of hits but no firm definition. I would probably concentrate on the lamb and leave the sausage.

-> You tell me! I have no idea, just guessing here ...

agree  Madeleine MacRae Klintebo: Jag tror du gissar rätt. Och även om cheddar inte är den vanligaste osten i Svergige (tack och lov) kan man även få tag på den där.

agree  Clare Barnes: Ostkorv is quite commonly sold as fast food at petrol stations - much nicer than they sound. I miss cheddar cheese over here...
