History / agricultural reform
Swedish term or phrase: enskifte
Rutger Macklean was a famous agrarian reformer of the late 18th century. He instituted 'enskifte' in Skåne with some success. I've had this term before but cannot for the life of me remember the English translation!

enclosure
Explanation:
Seems to be the translation. But I would leave 'enskifte' within brackets to mark which of the 'skiften' the discussion is about.
