Swedish term or phrase: inlånad personal
It is one of the choices of a search engine within a company's webpage. I understand the idea but I don't know if there is an English term for this.

Thank you!

It was a hard decision since the term caused so much controversies!
But at the end, I decided to use your suggestion and references, both for inhyrd and inlånad personal.
Thank you!

disagree  George Hopkins: Borrowing people is a relatively rare occurrence. Yes Sven, I have bothered. The answer to the Asker's question depends of course on the context -- normally he will have to pay, if he borrows perhaps it's for free?

-> So what do you think the frequently used expression "inhyrd eller inlånad personal" means? Have you bothered to read my references?

neutral  Charlesp: Technically possible, depending upon one's perspective (and level of language), but not how it is professionally referred to as, I would say.

temporary staff/consultants

Explanation:
You can hire both kind categories via agencies such as Manpower - the difference in terminology generally reflects how their skills/knowledge are evaluated.

disagree  Charlesp: I wouldnt think they'd be referred to as consultants, even if they do consuting work. And as for 'temporary staff,' yes, they are temporary and they are staff, but temporary staff implies temps (ie hired for the day or other brief period),hired from outsi

temporarily transfered personnel

Explanation:
temporarily transfered personnel, is one option for a person who is working in another department due to a temporary transfer, though I would say staff, as in temporarily transfered staff.

disagree  Anna Herbst: Spelling!!! "Temporarily transferred staff" is a possibility, but "temporarily assigned personnel" is a casual worker, so not the same thing. Added 5/2 - possibly, but not the spelling always "transferred" with double r.

As a reply to Charlesp who thinks only military staff are seconded. the following is from the University of Melbourne's Personnel Policy and Procedures Manual:
"Secondments may be used for a range of purposes, the most common being staff development. Secondment is also often used when the University wishes to gain the services of an employee of another organisation for a defined period. Secondments must be based on mutual agreement between the staff member, the University and the releasing or host organisation and must be for a specific period and must be agreed by those parties before commencement of any secondment."

Another way of expressing it would be "Staff on secondment"
