Bus/Financial - Law: Contract(s) / General framework agreement for provision of services
Swedish term or phrase: Part (legal translation standard)
I need some help on determining what is the field standard for translating "Part" when it appears in a sentence such as:

1. "Part förbinder sig att iaktta sekretess och att inte till tredje man utlämna konfidentiell information"

It is clear to me that the term refers to the parties of the agreement. I also think it's clear from context that this particular sentence applies to BOTH parties. But should it be translated as:

The parties
Both parties
Each party
Either party

and

2. "Med konfidentiell information avses sådan information som part uttryckligen angett ska utgöra konfidentiell information"

Here I unsure whether to go for

The party
A party
The parties
Either party

etc.

I'm sorry if this is unclear, would be very grateful for any advice as I've come across this a few times.

English translation:1. Each party 2. Either party
Explanation:
For 1, I would chose each party. Example: "Each party shall retain one copy each of the agreement." For 2, I would chose either party, since the understanding is that something may be designated by either party (but not necessarily by both) and should nonetheless be covered under the terms of the agreement.
