Swedish term or phrase:Entreprenörens underentreprenörentreprenörer
Since this term appears twice in the paragraph, I'm thinking it's not a typo. I assume is long-hand for the Contractor's subcontractors.
Explanation: I agree with Thomas Johansson (see discussion). This is not a typo; rather, "under" is implied in the last part of the term, as this refers to a chain of one contractor and multiple subcontractors, i.e. a contractor who contracts out the task to at least one subcontractor, who in turn contracts out the task to one or several subcontractors. There is obviously only one "entreprenör" and all the others are "underentreprenörer." Hence, it should actually be "entreprenörens underentreprenörsunderentreprenör(er)." A better way of writing this to properly identify the chain would be "entreprenörens underentreprenör samt dennes eventuella underentreprenörer." Example from link below:
(Depending on whether the contractor enlists one or two subcontractors, the correct term would be either "the contractor's subcontractor's subcontractors" or "the contractor's subcontractors' subcontractors." I'd be inclined to use the latter, since the Swedish ends with a plural.)
After conferring with the client, Asa is correct. Although in standard english these "sub-subcontractors" could all be categorized as "subcontractors", the client wanted to make the distinction clear. They are making an agreement with one contractors, who may work with a subcontractor, who may work with another subcontractor (who could work with another subcontractor...but that's another story ;-) Where does it end? ... in court...
I suppose your assumption is right. But it could also be perhaps:
- the contractor's subcontract contractors
- the contractors of the contractor's subcontractors
- the subcontractors of the contractor's subcontractors

the contractor's subcontractors
Explanation: It starts out more verbose than it needs to be.
However, the meaning is quite straightforward.
As usual, it is best to keep it simple.
