ooze/weep
Explanation:
Understand this to be a wound that starts to ooze or weep when moved. (Could only find sive in Danish or Norwegian though!)

Thanks - I'll go with this. I'll also enter it into the glossary in case such a word is seen again (e.g. written by same people).

Peer comments on this answer (and responses from the answerer)
neutral  Cynthia Coan: In both dictionaries I consulted, "ooze" is actually translated as "sippra," with no reference to "siva".

-> I'm assuming this is perhaps a mixture of Norwegian/Danish and Swedish - there are plenty of non-Swedish doctors in the hospitals :-)

sleep

Explanation:
Could "siva" it perhaps be a typo for "sova"? I and o are commonly mixed up when typing.
Might well fit the context as sleeplessness can be connected to many medical conditions, so the fact that the patient has started sleeping again may be well worth noting.

leak

Explanation:
Along the lines of Lena Helson I spontaneously think of "leak," although I have no support for it other than my spontaneous association with the English term "sieve," which is obviously something that leaks. Unless it is clear that the patient suffers from an infection, I would opt for "leak" as opposed to "ooze" or similar terms, simply because "leak" is more neutral. I think it may be more of a "home-made" term as opposed to a typo.
