Swedish term or phrase: samlandet
Book by Marcus Persson is a sociology dissertation whose full title is "Mellan människor och ting, en interaktionistisk analys av samlandet." I don't think this is referring to the land of Samland, because the word appears with a small "s". Any help appreciated, and thanks!

The reason for my choice of collecting activities is collector’s
noticeable interest in material things, in this study, this interest and
the forms it takes functions as a means for developing a theory of

Dear Fredrik, I truly didn't mean to offend you or seem sophisticated. Capitals are to distinguish between the two languages in question.
Take care.

agree  Fredrik Nowacki: Sorry, but no need for the big letters... I only read the full summary and from it, it was less clear which term to choose. Since reading the preface, I fully agree with you. Collecting seems the better choice.

-> In his foreword he says: I tolvårsåldern samlade jag fantomentidningar som jag förvarade systematiskt i årgångspärmar. Ungefär samtidigt fick jag en mindre frimärkssamling från mina morföräldrar. SO IT IS STAMP COLLECTING, do get aquainted with his thesis
