on-premises network, residential network, building network Explanation: Mats' "on-premises network" probably best, also clearly defined, see www.its.bldrdoc.gov/projects/t1glossary2000/. Bredbandsbolaget, a key broadband provider in Sweden, translates as "residential network", which I like for a general text on Internet networks in residential buildings. Also "building network" says pretty clearly what it is a question of. EurodicAutom, the EU terminology database has both "inside plant", which seems to be more of a telecom term, and building wiring, maybe for purely electrical cable network. local building network Explanation: A good translation should establish that the network is local to the building, thus 3 words. Babylon, Norstedts and a wee brain activity. |
