Thai to English translations [Non-PRO]
Cooking / Culinary / tableware
Thai term or phrase: ザル(Zaru)
ザル is actually the Japanese transliteration of a Thai word for something that looks like a round woven basket you put on the dining table to protect what's under it from insects. If I transliterate the Japanese it comes out as "zaru," but this may very well be different from the true Thai-to-English transliteration, which is what I need.

I can email a photo if you need one.

food cover

Explanation:
In Thai, this tableware is really called a "faa-chee". Though, in English, it is typically recognised as a food cover, which can be made of different materials e.g. metal, plastic, and rattan.

Example sentence(s):
  • Keep your food bug free with this set of 3 mesh food covers.
  • Bamboo Food Cover in Natural Color. This handweave bamboo basket with cover available in many colors not only in natural but also other colors.
