| Grading comment I acknowledge that this is a common use of อ้างอิง , but I don't much like it! The core meaning of อ้างอิง is 'refer to' in the sense of citing a document or an authoritative source. Although it's widely accepted, I consider its use in the sense of a business referral a corrupt usage based on a reverse transfer of the multiple meanings of "refer" in English. Opinions?
