Thai to English translations [PRO] Law/Patents | | Thai term or phrase: obtaining case officer | Hello everybody, I'm an interloper from the Proz French-English community. I currently have to translate for legal purposes (start of a lawsuit for fraud), from English to French, a text that has already been translated from Thai to English!! (crazy isn't it)
Anyway, I'm having difficulty knowing how to translate some of my English document, and thought maybe some legal whizz Thai colleague could help. Could any kind soul tell me what an "obtaining case officer", and a "black case" (a reference number of some sort) might be so I can work out some equivalent in French ?
Don't ask me why it wasn't translated into French directly to begin with, believe me I wish it had been!
Many thanks and apologies if anyone feels Kudoz isn't the right place for this - I didn't know quite where to post it. |

1 day21 hrs confidence: police and numerical control number
Explanation: I am a Thai:
obtaining case officer=obtaining police officer in charge of the (criminal) case. The police will be leutenant or above, not surgeant etc.
black case number = On-going lawsuit (before final judgement at the first-step court (not appeal or supreme court)) e.g. 1244/2545 (where 2545=B.E. year)
