Easy my ass
Explanation:

This is an expression-level translation fit (equivalence). I believe a translator should not stop at offering just an explanation of what the term means here.

Thanks all. So *dealing with* ghosts is never easy - like a good Thai ghost comedy. I'll go along with Somsak's answer. My context is exactly as Puttiporn describes it, and "Easy my ass" will work for the young male speaker, using the American spelling and feel. However, for me, the Australian/British spelling and feel, "Easy my arse" highlights the coarse slang aspect of this expression, and might be much too strong for ง่ายกะผี in some cases.

Example sentence(s):

  • ยินดีกะผี = ตรงไหนหรือที่เรียกว่ายินดี โชคดีกะผี = ฉันคิดว่าโชคไม่ดีหรอก ทำอย่างนั้นกะผีอ
