Turkish to English translations [PRO] Education / Pedagogy / Lise grade list/transcript
Turkish term or phrase:Bc
I am translating a Turkish lise grade list into English, and there are numerous abbreviations used as column headings without any kind of key or explanation. I have been unable to obtain any explanation, despite having contacted the lise directly. Does anyone know what these could be? Bc, Oy, S, Ő, a/d, Sg, X, E, M, YK, and HDS.
Other column headings include: Hours, 1st semester, 2nd semester, year-end [grade], weighted sum, result, and group.
Beneath the “Oy” abbreviation is a number, 1-4. Beneath the “S” abbreviation is a number, 1-15.
İ am truly stumped. Any guidance would be appreciated.
I have copied & pasted the above link from Image Shack (Thank you very much, Gannush!!). You should be able to copy and paste it into your browser to view the exact layout of the document, as well as the precise title of the document (Ogrenci Notlari Cizelgesi). I have also translated countless such documents and have never come across these abbreviations.
What is the exact name of the document in Turkish? I have translated thousands of such documents but never have seen such abbreviations. The letter “X" does not exist in the Turkish alphabet.
