Turkish term or phrase: engel

Column headings on this vocational secondary school transcript (Bakirkoy/Istanbul) for each of the classes taken include, "1st semester grade," "2nd semester grade," "year-end grade," "final grade," et al. I am not sure how best to translate "engel notu." There are no comments provided in the "explanation" section of the transcript, so I am really stumped.

The client is using this for application to a U.S. university.

Any thoughts? Thank you!

Explanation:
Engel Notu, engel sınavından alınan not için kullanılıyor. Engel sınavı ise, herhangi bir mazeretten dolayı sınava giremeyen öğrenci için yapılan mazeret sınavıyla aynı şey. Exam parantez içinde verdim ama "make-up exam score" olarak kullanılması gerek.
