English to Turkish translations [Non-PRO]
Law/Patents - Engineering (general) / White goods
English term or phrase: feder
This refers to the edge of a dish washer rack. I think it refers to the front barrier of the rack. However, I'm at a loss trying to find a prior usage in the Turkish language. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

feeder (English) or Feder (German)
besleyici (İngilizce) veya Yay (Almanca)

Explanation:
There's no definition for the word "feder" in English.

Either it is the German word "Feder", which means "Spring" ("Yay" in Turkish), or it is misspelled and actually means "feeder", which in turn is translated into Turkish as "besleyici".

From my personal experience I can say that it is the German word "Feder" ("Spring" in English and "Yay" in Turkish) because such a rack indeed has one.

Cheers!

besleyici

Explanation:
In some Turkish manuals of white goods, people use English-oriented (or whatever the original language) words. However they are not Turkish. Feder is one of them. I think that the person who had prepared that Turkish document had wanted to mean "feeder". There are lots of usages in Turkish alike; Forming a foreign word as a Turkish word especially in these areas. I think that the situation is this. Indeed "feder" is not a Turkish word.
