Turkish term or phrase: selektör yapmak
This is about using the dimlight but in combination with 'yaparak' is this a one time or repeated action?

selektör yaparak=while flashing high beams OR by flashing high beams. I would understand that it is one time action unless there are more clues implying that it was repeated such as "tekrar tekrar selektör yaparak = while flashing high beams again and again".

Sorry, it comes piece by piece but here's an excerpt from Wikipedia link "...the state driver’s manual of some states suggests flashing high beams under specific scenarios".
