In a 'lise diplomasi' under 'ögrenim süresi' I read: 'HZ + 3 yil'. Does anyone know what HZ stands for?

Explanation:
The first year at the Maarif Kolej is spent in the preparatory class (hazirlik) where the boys have 25 hours of English lessons a week.
