Merhaba. Geçenlerde M. Ali Bey'in yaptığı gibi ben de bir zihin jimnastiği sorusu açmak istedim. Puansız bir soru.
İnternette rastladığım ve bir türlü sonuca bağlanamayan bir tartışmada, şu cümlenin İngilizcesi isteniyordu:
"Kenan Evren kaçıncı cumhurbaşkanımızdır?"

Benim aklıma, "What is the presidential number of Kenan Evren?" cümlesi geldi ve internette de böyle bir kullanım olduğunu gördüm. Asker: Yok, how manyth biraz fazla kulak tırmalar. Geronimo İngilizcesi'ni andırıyor fazlasıyla ama ilk öneri için teşekkürler. Bu arada pek jimnastiklik bir durum yokmuş ortada. "what number" gayet bilinen bir kalıp olmasına rağmen, bazen doğru karşılık insanın aklına günlerce düşünse de gelmeyebiliyor :)
