by chosing the modal "May" in said definition, I tried to specify "A WEAK PROBABILITY" in my prevision, however you actually need to cover a long way to explore when and where to remain slient!

I am confident that your translations into your native language are superior given your long experience and effort and I intend no offense.

On the other hand, it should be obvious that any number of years experience and even extended foreign residence will not replace native speaker knowledge and sensibility. Examples of modal verb usage are readily available in any ESL/EFL textbook and this one is an intermediate ESL student error. Ask any number of native speakers and the error will be pointed out. A simple error like "x may booms" should not appear at an advanced level unless it is a typo and there is no review. I'm not discounting slang, etc. but that's more limiting.

Quantity isn't necessarily native quality.

I ould just recommend tou to check "WORDNET" to observe that my definition that is a product of a brainstorming poetic definition constructed by a 44 - year experienced professional, not a 7 - year!! Greetings to CA - USA (I have returned from my 6 - month family visit from MI-USA last month.)

My apologies for the misunderstanding on hours.

Not to be uncharitable, I'd say nevertheless, seek some feedback from some native speakers of the target language in question before closing. It's always instructive.

In this case, checking with a few native speakers or having a look at a few ESL websites will reveal that the modal verb "may" does not take the 3rd person singular verb. So there is an elementary error in the target language. "may booms" won't work. The rhyme is close but imperfect - reSPECT (v.) vs. PROspect (n.) - but hard to work around that. The expression "boom a prospect" is unusual - it may be a slang or regional formulation but certainly nothing a speaker in the U.S. at least could understand. I think the phrasal verb "blow up" might get the idea across better.

The ideas are there to be sure, but the formulation needs a tweak.

I've read a ProZ guideline somewhere though that posters should wait more than 24 hours before closing a question so as to give responder's from around the world a chance to answer - and to submit the proposed answers to the scrutiny of rigorous peer review, especially by native speakers of the target language (with knowledge of the source language).
