Turkish term or phrase: redif
Hi

The context is 'redif Şiirleri'.

If there is no exact English equivalent please paraphrase i.e. a poem in which (such and such a line rhymes or half-rhymes with such and such a line; a redif has eight lines in all).

I mean the above only as an example, of course.

Best

Simon

identity rhyme
Explanation:
"redif" is basically the repetition of the same word/words in addition to the rhyme at the end of a line. As far as I can understand from the definition of the identity rhyme, identity rhyme is equivalent of redif.

I meant to provide the main answer as "identical rhyme(s)"...

I tried to define redif as an "identical rhyme", since regular rhymes are the suffixes or words that are similar in writing but carry different meanings. In redif, the meanings, functions, spellings are identical, which takes the "ordinary" rhymes one step further.
