Basically, the author is talking about how people who actually have no talent themselves are acting as if they know enough (I suppose about acting) to judge the person in question
No, it makes sense. It is used ironically. It does not mean that they are really being "tolerance angels", but pretending to be so instead. There is another ironic expression (çok bilmiş) there, indicating that they do not really know what is going on but still pretending to do so.
Explanation: These guys seem to show fake pity i.e they say "oo, poor thing", thus, they act like fake "angels of compassion". Fount of all knowlegde means "çok bilmiş" and does not give the sense of fake pity those guys pretended. Angel of tolerance also does not fit, since those guys do not show any tolerance, but a presumptuous pity. Saints of compassion may also be considered, it sounds more ironic.
