Aslında arkadaşların "von Amts wegen"den kast ettikleri "noter" olmasına rağmen aynı terminoloji çok farklı durumlarda da kullanılıyor.

Der Ausdruck von Amts wegen, abgekürzt v.A.w. (oder lat. ex officio) bedeutet im politischen und juristischen Sprachgebrauch, dass jemand kraft eines ihm übertragenen Amtes bestimmte Funktionen, Befugnisse oder Vollmachten innehat oder wahrnehmen muss bzw. dass eine Behörde oder ein Gericht eine bestimmte Handlung ohne Antrag oder sonstige verfahrenseinleitende Maßnahme von sich aus vornimmt.
