Urdu term or phrase: کَل
Does this word have the meanings of both "tomorrow" (the day coming after today) and "yesterday" (the day that came before today) in Engish? Or do you have to add something onto it for it to mean "yesterday"?

English translation:"yesterday" or "tomorrow"
Explanation:
کل can mean 'yesterday' or 'tomorrow.' It is written in the same way...nothing is added or taken away for either meaning. The context usually makes it clear if the word is used for 'yesterday' or 'tomorrow.'

کَل=yesterday/tomorrow, گزشتہ کل=yesterday

Explanation:
Although کل means either of the two days before and after "today", we have several means to express "yesterday".
The most common way is to add " گزشتہ =past" before کَل.
So, yesterday => گزشتہ کل
Other forms include: گزرا ہوا کل
I hope this would cast some light on the issue.
