Compared with 3.1.9 update 1, 3.4 brings 11 enhancements and 4 bug corrections, with a focus on visual aspects. The general look and feel of OmegaT was changed for the first time since 1.6., with a cleaner and simpler design. The raw layout of statistics was changed to a table design. In addition, “Copy to clipboard” and “Close” buttons were added. The font selected in Options > Fonts can be applied now also to statistics. In Options > File Filters, the filters used by the current project are displayed in bold. There’s a new "Trafficlight" theme in the Switch Colour Theme script. The automatic detection of the encoding of source documents was completely changed. While before, “auto” meant simply the use of the system encoding, OmegaT now attempts to detect automatically the encoding. For the target documents, UTF-8 is now used by default, except for Java .properties files, which defaults to US-ASCII as in previous versions. There’s as new XML Spreadsheet 2003 filter. This corresponds to Excel XML exports. Options > Tag Validation was renamed to Tag Processing. In that dialog, there's now an option to decide whether protected text (from the XLIFF filter) and custom tags should be counted in statistics. The option is on by default. In previous versions, protected text was not counted in the statistics, so the option has to be disabled to get the same value as before. The fuzzy match difference granularity in Chinese was improved. The Dutch, Italian and Japanese localisations were updated to 3.4. You can download the new version following the directions from http://www.omegat.org/en/downloads.html for latest versions. ▲ Collapse | | | Samuel Murray Netherlands Local time: 19:57 Member (2006) English to Afrikaans + ... Hey, Samuel, I'm just the messenger! I don't even know what a Trafficlight theme is. I guess it has something to do with a traffic light. You're the expert, not me. | | | Didier Briel France Local time: 19:57 English to French + ... Trafficlight is red/yellow/green | Apr 21, 2015 |

Main differences with default is that the current source segment is yellow and that untranslated segments are reddish. As for the Dark theme, it is quite obvious: the text is white on a black background. Could you post some screenshots? I don't see any difference between them... Are you sure you really applied the themes? First you change the content of the first variable (e.g., var theme = 'Dark';). Then your run the script (Run button). Then you quit OmegaT, and restart it. Didier | |

because you did such a nice job on this one, I can finally put my eyes at rest with darker color options which is the feature I was most expecting.
