Hi, I have a question about transferring qualifications gained in Lithuania over to the British Education System. I have a client who has gained a Diploma in Childcare in her native Lithuania, but she is unsure how to transfer this over to the British system. Does anyone know what the process is for doing so? Will it be necessary to contact the Lithuanian Embassy, for example, or does a simple translation suffice? Many thanks for any help that ... Hi Jack, This looks like a good starting point for establishing equivalence: https://ec.europa.eu/ploteus/search/site?f[0]=im_field_entity_type:97 The 'Compare national qualifications frameworks' link can be used to generate a side-by-side comparison of Lithuanian and UK qualifications with examples at each level. | | | Rolf Keller Germany Local time: 05:36 English to German Yes, look at the European Qualifications Framework | Nov 30, 2015 |

If you need any further help, just tell. When I translate diplomas, I never ask embassies, no need for that unless you want to certify the translation pecifically by the consular department. ▲ Collapse | |

Equivalency evaluation is usually not the translator's job | Nov 30, 2015 |
Here, in the US, there are specific companies who evaluate foreign diplomas/degrees and determine the closest equivalent in the US system. This may be necessary for immigration purposes, for example for working visas. They sometimes ask for the transcript as well, to see what subjects were taught in how many hours. | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Equivalence of Lithuanian qualifications in the British Education System Trados Business Manager Lite | Create customer quotes and invoices from within Trados Studio
