Those of you who have attended powwows before will probably know that powwow attendance is awarded with BrowniZ. If you'd like to take advantage of this, please have your ProZ ID number with you on Thursday night. There'll be a table with attendance sheets where you can enter your name and ProZ ID number. We will file an attendance report after the conference - don't think we'll manage before ;)

Also, you can have your ID verified on this occasion. Registered users may have their identities verified by displaying photo ID to the designated representatives. There will be quite a few of us in attendance who are empowered to verifiy IDs, Rebekka and Enrique, to name just two.

Dear All,
I'm pleased to inform you that Rebekka and I have hired a separate room at the Grape bar in the centre of Edinburgh for some pre-conference warm-up drinks. Having said that, the event is open to ALL ProZians, their guests and other language specialists who happen to be in the area, but may not wish to sign up for the conference. The entry is FREE, but everyone will be expected to pay for their own drinks or snacks. So if you're not planning to attend the conference, you're still more than welcome to join in and benefit from an evening of networking and socialising. The main purpose of the event is to mingle and get to know the crowd rather than a sit-down meal, so we haven't made any specific dinner arrangements. Food ranging from shared platters to sandwiches, burgers, salads and various main courses will be available to order, but you might equally choose to go out for dinner first and join us for drinks later.
