Is there a program schedule available?

I'll try a live broadcast on site via BlogTV depending on the Internet connection/speed available.

A report may be prepared later based on recordings/photos/videos I'll be making.

Other colleagues are welcome to take photos/videos too.

Just switched from "maybe" to "yes" and we are now at 50 confirmed members! This will be interesting!!

Dear Joachim: I'd like to help you with your Chinese. But I do need to know a lot about your learning plan.

Besides laying emphasis on "tips to newcomers" I would like to abuse this meeting to gather some advices and contacts for learning Chinese. If any of you happen to know somebody who might be inclined to give private lessons or if any of you might be interested in doing that yourself please let me know.

I confirm my attendance of the powwow there at the hotel.

just contacted wendy in the courtyard,there is a spacious room on the second floor.it is specially for enterprise meetings or middle-size group activities. they provide equipments for the activity,you can find some special things which are different from other place.the decorations are full of Chinese traditional style.it seems a very quiet place embraced by siheyuan.

600yuan half a day, it seems a little expensive. There are many books in the book-bar that I mentioned, perhaps they could offer us a lot of topics to talk about.

The courtyard mentionned by Louis Huo sounds great. We will try to make arrangements and let you now.

a bar at Guo Ji Da Sha (International Building) at Jianguo Men Wai St. a ideal place for the event. I have the connection.

Well, seems that the population is somewhere between 6 to 17. We can suggest places that might do and let the organizer has more choices.
I agree that small cafes might not be able to hold so many people. Maybe Pizzahut? They are now having this afternoon thing, where you pay around 30RMB and get a cake or something like that and refillable soft drink or coffee.

i'm not sure a cafe would have enough seats for us on a weekend... especially UBC...

I live up north in Shangdi area. We definitely need to find a central location. I propose a buffet restaurant or a coffee shop like UBC.

I am in Wangjing, next to east 5th ring.

I am near Fu Cheng Men, on the west 2nd ring.

Where is everyone located in Beijing? We can try to decide on a reasonably central location.
