Thanks to everyone for signing up and expressing interest in this month's powwow. It's great to see so many new names.

Due to the overwhelming response, I was presented with the challenge of finding a suitable venue. We were initially planning to meet at the Riverside Terrace Café at the South Bank Centre, but since there are so many of us this time, I decided against it. The good news is that I managed to find a friendly pub in Covent Garden with no hire or minimum spending fees. We will have the newly renovated upstairs room all to ourselves and drinks can be purchased from the bar downstairs. Unfortunately, no food is served on the premises, so please don't arrive hungry :-) The event will kick-off at 2pm and I have the room booked until 9pm.

Our next powwow is going to be a day-time affair (with the possibility of extending into the evening), mainly devoted to networking and getting to know each other. To get the most out of the event, you might want to add a note next to your name on the sign up page stating "whom you'd like to meet", e.g. French to English translators, legal specialists, wine lovers etc. I will try to come up with name badges of some sort.
