Best strategies in an economic downturn

Hello Fellow Translators in Paris,

I propose a Powwow to discuss the big issue facing us all, the global economic downturn.

What can we as language professionals do to face these economic issues? How can we protect ourselves and better yet, how can or should we adapt to a changing market?

If we get a minimum of 5 people interested in this Powwow, I will scout out a location in central Paris to meet.

Rebecca, il y a 2 brasseries très sympa au beau milieu du Jardin des Tuileries (métro Concorde) ; ils restent ouverts même après que le Jardin ferme... Suggestion -)

Bonjour, il y aussi le Café livres, rue saint martin juste en face de la Tour Saint-Jacques, entre Châtelet et Hôtel de ville : central, avec terrasse mais aussi espace intérieur pour repli en cas de mauvais temps (sans vouloir jourer les oiseaux de mauvaise augureicon_eek.gif)

Pablo if I remember well, the meeting point is in Montmartre, in front of the funiculaire.
To everyone, I don't think I'll be able to make it, Montmarte is quite difficult to reach from my suburb... Have a great time, and I hope to be able to join the next parisian powwow!icon_smile.gif

Bonjour Rebecca, pourriez vous confirmer que le rendez vous est bien à 19h30 devant la funiculaire, qui monte jusqu'au Sacre Coeur. Et que l'on peut rejoindre facilement du métro Anvers, ligne 2, ou Abbesses, ligne 12 ? Divers n'ont pas eu ou vu vos emails.Merci et à ce soir.

Hi all,

Yes, the meeting place for this Powwow is in front of the Finiculaire . Best Metro line 2, Anvers or les Abesses, line 13 I believe.
